TotalBid Newswire:

 USM

The University of Southern Maine has agreed to use TotalBid for a second year in a row. TotalBid will be used as part of their Construction Cost Estimating course. This class is a requirement for those that intend to complete the Construction Management Certificate Program.

Paul Gillis, the adjunct professor at USM and Corporate Development Cost Engineer & Process Manager at Hannaford Supermarkets, is the lead on this effort. Construction Cost Estimating at USM has been well received by students and the employer community.

Mr. Gillis comments: "Private industry support is important, as it trains future industry leaders. We appreciate the support from CPBID Technologies doing this for the good of the students, helping develop future and current industry associates, and supporting educational endeavors. Last year electronic bidding using TotalBid was a highlight of the course."

You can find more about the USM program here: http://usm.maine.edu/tech/Programs/const_magt_cert.html. USM's three primary campuses are located in Portland, Gorham, and Lewiston. USM has almost 10,000 undergraduate students and approximately 2,500 graduate students. USM is among the "Best Northeastern Colleges," according to The Princeton Review's 2007 listings, and was also included in its 2007 edition of "America's Best Value Colleges.
